Q: What is a Big Bang?
A: A Big Bang is an event that pairs writers and artists together to create content for a ship, character, theme, etc.Q: What kind of big bang is this?
A: The Ayalumi Big Bang 2022 is a traditional big bang. Writers will submit their prompts and artists will choose the prompt they wish to illustrate for.Q: Who can participate?
A: Anyone who loves Ayaka and Lumine can! We welcome everyone who wants to sign up as a writer, an artist, a beta reader, or a pinch hitter.Q: Can I sign up for more than one role?
A: Yes! You may sign up for dual roles if you wish, and pinch hitter and beta reader roles are open to all participants.
We only ask that you be mindful of how much work you can take on.Q: Are side ships allowed?
A: As long as Ayalumi is the main focus, you may add as many side ships as you want! We ask that any side ships are tagged and submitted along with prompt submissions.Q: Can fics feature a platonic relationship between Ayaka and Lumine or do they have to be romantically driven?
A: Not necessarily! Queerplatonic and platonic relationships are most welcome.Q: Is NSFW or heavy gore allowed?
A: No. This is a strictly SFW event, so the maximum rating you may create for is Teen and Up audiences.
You may include light mentions of blood, but please tag your work and mention trigger warnings.Q: Is major character death allowed?
A: Yes, but please do tag it correctly.Q: What is the last date to drop out?
A: You may inform one of the mods if you wish to drop out before November 25, so we may find a pinch hitter to take your place. Dropping out after this date will be an infringement of the bang rules, and the mods will not be responsible for finding a pinch hitter.Q: What are the check-ins for?
A: Those are to check up on your progress. You will not have to submit anything during those, just a response to our message will do!

How it works
A traditional Big Bang event is one in which the writers submit the prompt they want to write for and then artists pick the prompt they wish to illustrate.
You may choose to create as many pieces as you like, we only ask that you keep in mind your limits and how much work you can take on.
After the writers have finished their fic, they may ping the beta role in the discord in the designated channel to ask any available beta reader for reading.Signing up

You may sign up through the forms for more than one role, we only ask that you keep in mind how much work you can handle.Rating
The maximum rating allowed is Teen and Up Audiences. Since this is a strictly SFW event, NSFW and gore content is not allowed in the event or the discord. You are allowed to depict mild violence, blood, and major or minor character death, just be mindful that you tag it properly.Other relationships
As long as Ayalumi is the main ship, you are free to include any number of side ships!
You are free to depict the relationship between Ayaka and Lumine as platonic, queerplatonic, or romantic, as long as they are the main focus! Additional ships must be tagged and included in writers' pitches prior to opening artists' claims.Requirements>Artist
1. No experience needed. If you want to draw for this event feel free to join.
2. Artists are required to create at least one complete piece (flat colors, optional background) with that focuses primarily on Ayalumi.
3. There is no maximum limit, hence you may add shading and background to your piece. You are welcome to create more than once piece as well that reach the minimum requirement.
4. The piece you create will be based on your partner's fic.
5. After the prompt submission form closes, you will be given a prompt claim form for choosing the fic you want to illustrate.
6. If you are already planning to work with a partner, there will be an option to indicate your preference in the sign up forms, and you will be exempt from claims.
7. The finished illustration should be directly from the fic your partner has written.
8. Any medium, traditional or digital, is accepted. Comics are very welcome.>Writer

2. Writers are required to create at least one finished piece of minimum 3000 words that focuses primarily on Ayalumi.
3. There is no maximum limit, hence you may go beyond the word limit if you wish. You are welcome to create more than once piece as well that reach the minimum requirement.
4. The fic you submit must be primarily for this event, previously published fics and wips are not allowed. However, previously unpublished wips may be used for the bang.
5. You will be required to submit the prompt you wish to write for in the prompt submission form for claims.
6. If you are already planning to work with a partner, there will be an option to indicate your preference in the sign up forms, and you will be exempt from prompt submissions.
7. If you require a beta, you may ping the beta role or ask one of the mods so we can find you a suitable beta.
8. You may continue writing/updating your fic after your assigned posting date, as long as the completed fic has a minimum of 3000 words.
9. The finished piece should include the scene your partner has illustrated.>Beta Reader
1. No experience needed. If you want to beta read for this event, feel free to join.
2. After a writer has completed their fic, you will be pinged, and you may choose to volunteer for at least one fic, after which you will be assigned to a writer by a mod.
3. You may beta read for more than one fic.
4. Your role will depend on the writer you are working with.>Pinch Hitter
1. No experience needed. If you want to pinch hit for this event, feel free to join.
2. You are allowed to sign up as a writer, artist, and/or beta reader.
3. You are required to hit the minimum requirement for each role.
4. You will be informed in case someone drops out, so you have enough time to finish your piece.
5. In the sign up form, please mention how long in advance you'd like to informed to create the piece.Prompt submissions and selections
The writers will be asked to submit a summary of the story they will be writing, and the artists will be asked to choose which they wish to illustrate. The teams will be assigned based on these choices.Teams
Each team will consist of an artist and a writer, and will be given a private channel in the Discord for discussions. However, you may move to dms if you wish.
The beta readers will not be assigned in the beginning, but chosen later after writers start finishing their fics.Discord
1. You must be 13 or older to join the server, as per Discord's Terms and Services.
2. Be respectful of people's boundaries. If you are asked to stop, please do so.
3. Do not bring personal issues into the server.
4. Keep the server PG-13 and SFW - that means, please refrain from gore, violence and anything else that would be considered nsfw.
5. Be mindful of people's triggers, if they have been previously mentioned.
6. Try to stay on topic in the correct channels. If you are in the incorrect channel and a Mod redirects you, please move to the correct channel.
7. You may post wips in the designated channel if you wish.
8. Disregard for rules may result in a ban from the event.Check-Ins
The check-ins are for checking up on your progress. You will not have to submit anything during those, just a response to our message will do.Preview Submissions
On December 25th, you will be asked to submit a preview of your art/fic, so we can post teasers on our Twitter!Posting
We will not be posting all at once, instead, we will post over the time period of a few days.
Writers will post their fic into our ao3 collection along with their partner's art piece (we will guide on how to, if necessary). Along with the preview you submit to us, you may post a preview on your Twitter/ other social media(s) if you wish.
Artists will give their piece to their writer to put in the fic, and also post their piece on any social media if they wish.
Please only post on the assigned dates, not before or after, as that will affect the entire posting schedule.Dropping Out
